Turkish teen sensation reveals why he chose Manchester City over Chelsea

first_img1 Turkish teen ace Enes Unal has revealed he snubbed Chelsea in favour of a summer move to Manchester City because of their differing youth policies.City won the race to land the 18-year-old wonderkid in July, shelling out £2m to sign him from Bursaspor. He has since been sent on loan to Genk for the next two seasons.And now the precocious striker, who scored four goals in the Turkish top flight before the move to City, has revealed he turned down an offer from Chelsea because of their current loan policy.Speaking to the official Turkish Football Federation website, he said: “One of the other teams that wanted me was Chelsea but I decided to join Manchester City because they had shown more interest and were really keen in bringing me in.“Chelsea have around 50 players out on loan whereas City have about 15 and these are players like [Edin] Dzeko and [Stevan] Jovetic.“City are investing a lot in young players and have plans to use them in the future.” Enes Unal last_img read more
