first_imgSHOCKED Donegal gardai have had to pull over a motorist today for speeding through a 60kmh zone – at 108 kmh!Despite widespread warnings and publicity that gardai had mounted a 24-hour campaign against speeding motorists, they’ve also pulled over dozens of other motorists for speeding today.The operation continues until 7am tomorrow. A Garda spokesman confirmed: “A vehicle was detected today travelling at 108 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on the R267 Bundoran.”The motorists faces a court appearance.The speed is among the highest in a 60kmh zone in the country today.Operation Slow Down was initiated as a response to the large number of deaths on our roads this year.
