41MP Nokia Pureview Windows Phone pictured in leaked images

first_imgWhen Nokia announced the PureView 808 with its whopping 41MP sensor and Carl Zeiss optics, they said it was “reasonable to expect” that they’d be offering something similar up in the future with Windows Phone. Assuming these freshly-leaked images from a Nokia slideshow are legit, the company already has something in the works. You can clearly make out the PureView bulge on the back of this phone, and there’s no mistaking the Windows Phone button on the front face. A second slide also mentions Windows Phone, though not a specific version — so it could arrive soon with 7.5.  It’s also possible that this is one of the two mysterious Windows Phone 8 Apollo devices (codenamed Prodigy and AC/DC) that popped up just a few weeks ago.The second slide also reveals some additional hardware specs, including an Adreno 320 GPU. Right now that’s part of the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SOC, which means it’s likely that a 1.5GHz Krait chip will provide the horsepower. As for the display, it’s a big improvement over the 360×640 unit on the PureView 808. This new phone — presumably a Lumia if it’s running Windows Phone — will sport a slightly-curved 4.3-inch HD display and will be offered in black, yellow, and pink. The processor choice is particularly interesting, because the MSM8960 Pro platform is also capable of running Windows 8 on ARM. There’s been a lot of talk about Nokia offering up a Windows 8 tablet, and this particular Qualcomm SOC would definitely be up to the task.More at Pocket Lintlast_img
