Samoa Air flies to more Treasured Islands

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: S.P With the increase of Interisland travel within Samoa, domestic air services have re-launched and will now be serviced by Samoa Air. Samoa Air, the Island’s official national carrier operates a fleet of BN2A Islanders, an aircraft well recognised for its short take off and landing (STOL).Samoa Air will operate five return daily services between the Upolu and Savaii, operating from the re-opened air strips of Fagaii (FGI) on Upolu and Maota (MXS) and Asau (AAU) in Savaii.The recently re-opened domestic airstrips will provide a new travel option for travellers who would have previously used ferries to access other parts of the Island.Samoa Tourism Authority Public relations and marketing consultant Peter Sereno said they are thrilled to be offering this new service.“This new travel option encouraging greater travel between the Islands and allows visitors to our country the option to see more of the Treasured Islands,” Mr Sereno said.Additionally, the carrier will also operate flights to destinations in American Samoa, Tonga, Wallis Island and Niue.last_img
