With Air Transat connecting Toronto and Zagreb for the fourth year in a row with tied flights to Montreal and Vancouver from May to October, Air Canada has successfully completed the second year of a direct seasonal flight on the same route between June and October, further confirming great potential and the importance of Canada as one of the leading distant markets for Croatia. The Montreal International Tourism and Travel Show (Salon International Tourisme Voyages) organized by Expo Média is one of the most visited tourism fairs in Canada and the most important tourism fair in the Francophone area of ​​Canada. During the three days of the fair, about 36.700 visitors were recorded who had the opportunity to meet 400 exhibitors from 100 countries, participate in numerous lectures on news in destinations, travel organizer programs, prize games and enjoy the rich cultural program “Place d’Animation” , as well as in culinary presentations and delicacies from around the world “La Cuisine du monde”. Also, in 2019, there was a significant increase in tourist traffic from Canada, so that so far in the year 190.853 arrivals and 531.809 overnight stays from Canada, which compared to the same period last year represents an increase of 9 percent in arrivals and 11 percent in overnight stays. .
